    The Position
    The Family First Project (FFP) Coordinator serves as a staff member at will of Safehouse Progressive Alliance for Nonviolence (SPAN). The FFP Coordinator’s mission is to advance program and organizational goals through strategic community and in-house collaborations.

    Compensation
    This is a nonexempt, salaried position grant funded through the Family First Transition Act. The salary range is $49,000 to $53,500 annually, depending on experience; an additional $100/month ($1,200/annually) is provided for proven Spanish-language proficiency. Compensation also includes our standard benefit package, including a medical plan, dental plan, retirement plan with a 2% agency contribution, holiday pay and paid time off, reduced rate Eco-Pass, and Employee Assistance Program.
    About You You are all about community collaboration, innovative approaches to parenting and family engagement, and evidence-based prevention and trauma support. You have progressive experience working with survivors of abuse, child welfare systems, and/or community-based advocacy programs. You are a collaborate and have experience advancing program goals in partnership with diverse community groups and stakeholders. You have excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, you can communicate with a variety of audiences, you appreciate the details, and you’re organized. You are self-motivated and directed and work easily with diverse teams of passionate people. You have proven written and verbal communication skills in both Spanish and English.

    A Day in the Life

    Leads the development and implementation of “upstream” interventions and integrated parenting support for families experiencing or at risk of child abuse or domestic violence in Boulder and Broomfield counties. Coordinates with SPAN’s Children & Youth Services Program to provide direct services to children, youth, and families. Collaborates with community organizations and Broomfield and Boulder counties’ Child & Family Services to expand evidence-based intervention and prevention support families. Engages under-represented, marginalized, and families with limited accessibility in addressing barriers to service engagement and retention. Communicates with a variety of agencies, enjoys sharing information about the Family First Project, and appreciates the details and you’re organized. Participates in meetings with internal and external community partners and stakeholders.

    What You Bring to Us

    4-year degree in Human Services preferred, or in a related field, or any equivalent combination of education and/or experience. 3-5 years of progressive experience in human services, prevention, and counseling/advocacy with child, youth, and families, and a minimum of 1 year experience with evidence-based services such as Parents as Teachers and/or TF-CBT. Clinical experience is preferred. Excellent planning, organizational, case management, and clinical/intervention skills. Experience with the dynamics of intimate partner violence, domestic violence, trauma-informed service delivery, and resources available to survivors of violence is strongly preferred. If you’ve made it to this bullet, you can guess that you need great computer skills including MS Office. You also need to produce and meet deadlines in our fast-paced and changing environment.

    You need to be able to sit or stand for long periods each day.
