    Job Title: Operations Manager

    Position Summary: Community Foundation Boulder County (CFBC) seeks an Operations Manager who shares CFBC’s vision for building a more equitable Boulder County. The ideal candidate has a broad range of skills and interests and can multi-task in a fast-paced environment. The Operations Manager reports to the Chief Financial Officer/Chief Operating Officer (CFO/COO) and is responsible for all day-to-day aspects of the operations for the foundation office. In addition, the Operations Manager will process accounts payable, assist with human resources functions, and support the CFO/COO with scheduling and other meeting related responsibilities. We are seeking an enthusiastic, innovative, and hard-working professional dedicated to serving Boulder County with the entrepreneurial spirit this community embodies. This is a full-time, exempt position (100% full-time equivalent (FTE)).

    Community Foundation Boulder County is a community catalyst, responding to immediate needs and anticipating future challenges.     Established in 1991, Community Foundation Boulder County currently has assets totaling more than $100 million. In 2021, the foundation received over $15 million in contributions and distributed over $10 million in grants to nonprofit organizations. CFBC has granted more than $120 million to nonprofit organizations since its inception and recently raised over $43 million to support fire recovery efforts in Boulder County.

    Responsibilities and Essential Duties

    Operations: (40%)

    • Customer service including greeting visitors, answers incoming calls, manages incoming and outgoing mail.
    • Responsible for general email inbox/inquiries to ensure timely responses and follow up by appropriate staff, as needed.
    • Supports the CFO/COO with operationalizing internal meetings to include scheduling, creating agendas, and minute taking.
    • Oversee updating of public foundation records at online locations (i.e., field/sector surveys and questionnaires, nonprofit and foundation directories).
    • Responsible for timely filing of annual accreditation reports.
    • Maintain up-to-date versions of important/corporate documents as required by law or best practice (for example, board meeting minutes, foundation bylaws, policy manual, internal controls, etc.) and ensure annual review of such documents and processes.

    Building Management: (20%)

    • Manage the maintenance of the physical facilities and related third party vendors: property management, parking, janitorial and maintenance.
    • Primary contact for building tenants.
    • Maintain an orderly and professional office environment that is welcoming and highly functional.
    • Ordering office and kitchen supplies and maintaining proper inventory levels.

    Human Resources: (20%)

    • In coordination with the CFO/COO manage the annual employee benefits renewal process and performance review process.
    • Assist with administration of benefit programs including preparation and maintenance of associated records and reports.
    • Ensure that the foundation is efficiently organized to comply with human resource processes and requirements, in accordance with legal and internal policies.
    • Aid in the formation and implementation of standard operating procedures and personnel policies; considering state and federal changes in personnel administration and payroll taxation.
    • Maintain personnel job descriptions, employee handbooks/manuals and employment policies.

    Accounting and Finance: (20%)

    • Process Accounts Payable
    • Manage company credit card – ensuring timely submission of receipts by cardholders and processing receipts in accounting system.
    • Participates in preparation and submission of audit documentation and filing of tax returns.

    Skills and Competencies

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
    • Experience with bookkeeping, human resources, and/or facilities management
    • Ability to effectively manage time and meet deadlines

    This is a full‐time position (100% FTE) or 40 hours per week. The salary range for this position is $50,000 - $65,000. CFBC offers a competitive benefits package including health and dental insurance, paid time off, retirement contribution and match, parking pass, and Limited Health Reimbursement Account (employer funding of $2,000 per year).
