ECCBC serves as the county-wide convener for strategic planning and collaboration across the early childhood system, focusing on:
- Supporting Families: Providing families with information, resources, and referrals (as the local Childcare Resource and Referral office) to navigate the childcare system, find placement support, and access financial assistance.
- Enhancing Program Quality: Working directly with childcare providers through quality coaching, consulting, and professional development opportunities to improve the quality of early learning environments and participate in the state's quality rating system.
- Improving Workforce Stability: Offering training and resources to support the early childhood workforce, including professional development in areas like health and safety, child development, and trauma-informed care.
- Addressing Systemic Challenges: Advocating for systemic changes and collaborating with policymakers and community partners to address gaps in service delivery and build a more accessible, affordable, and equitable early childhood system.
